Advertisement Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Hi hektor, Take a look here Leica Digital-Module-R. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted July 10, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted July 10, 2007 I don't think they can remove the DMR from the Leica web site until there is another R digital. Otherwise, Leica looks like it doesn't have a digital SLR line. Â The DMR is discontinued because it is sold out and there are no plans to do another production run. Leica's production partner, Imacon, has since merged with Hasselblad, so it is probably not an option to have them make more DMR for Leica. Angora Posted July 10, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted July 10, 2007 I second Robert, maybe (and hopefully) the DMR page will be replaced next year by an R10's one.
dhsimmonds Posted July 11, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted July 11, 2007 A new firmware version in the downloads page would be nice.....Leica really owe us digital R users that at least.
garyp Posted July 17, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted July 17, 2007 I just read on another forum [photo.net] that 1.3 is on it's way for DMR owners; hope it's true.

andybarton Posted July 17, 2007 Share #9 Â Posted July 17, 2007 There was a piece in one of the photo mags I was reading on the train tonight, which has a quote from the head honcho at Leica UK, confirming that, while they would have liked to have sold them for longer, they have sold them all... Â The headline in the article was along the lines of "Leica bale out of digital SLR market"
marknorton Posted July 18, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted July 18, 2007 Not the sort of headline the Marketing Boys would have liked... Â Besides, it's not true, Leica are hanging on by their fingernails with.... the Digilux 3.
