ropo54 Posted July 6, 2018 Share #21  Posted July 6, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I played with the TL2 a bit more today. The 1Point focus is actually pretty good! I typically shoot Spot focus which has improved but still has a way to go as well.  Let us know how it goes, curious to hear!  Joris, I have been using my old T a bit. I'm really quite happy with it, too. The speed of AF of the T has been greatly improved through the software upgrades (or, I may be imagining things). The images are excellent and I really don't see much of any difference between it and the CL (at least on the screen) except with the jpegs.  I'm excited to get a TL2 again for the added megapixels and improved menu system . . . but these are not huge differences for my needs and purposes. For anyone wishing to be budget conscious, or just wishing to give Leica apsc a try, the original T is a fabulous choice.  Rob
Advertisement Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Hi ropo54, Take a look here I love my T, but.... (long post, bear with me). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ropo54 Posted July 6, 2018 Share #22  Posted July 6, 2018 Groundhog indeed.  My on again, off again affair with things T has resurfaced.  In between times I have acquired a Q, but since my TL didn't find a home while on behalf in the UK, it is circuitously coming back to me.  We will be reunited when we arrive in Europe mid August, and I will either stash it, or use it while we travel, alongside the Q, and a heap of film.  I am looking forward to again having this quirky piece of art.  Gary  Better "tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree' . . .? Guest VVJ Posted July 6, 2018 Share #23  Posted July 6, 2018 I'm excited to get a TL2 again for the added megapixels and improved menu system . . . but these are not huge differences for my needs and purposes.  Additionally you will get better high ISO performance and improved (though probably not sufficiently) autofocus. Only you know whether that is of importance to you or not.  About the menu system, I very much prefer the menu system of the T and TL2 to the antiquated menu system of the CL.  That being said, I can run through the menu system of the CL in the viewfinder which I cannot do with the T/TL2 and consequently I need to have my glasses with me at all times.  One other little thing that I like about the T/TL2 is that it (just like the SL) shows date and time in play mode. The CL doesn't. I find it very convenient especially when pressed for time.  Similarly the CL does for some reason also not allow to add date and time to the favorites... which the T/TL2 does...
