I seldom use the dial, I use the screen. I keep the dial on M and ISO is in my favorites menu.

Bill does the M10 have a touch screen or is it via a menu button

No touch screen. The menu button pulls up your favorites first and if you push it again, it goes into the main menu. ISO is one I have listed there. You can change your favorites as needed.

My point was to ignore auto ISO... be a man and go manual. :)

There are good times to use auto ISO for instance at night when shooting street life wide open with a Noctilux and the light is changing all the time, if the M10 sensor is as good as everyone makes it out to be then a stop or two under or over should be able to get recovered in PP................shooting landscape and portraiture I always use manual as it is in a controlled inviromental situation, shooting the back streets of China town or little Bagdad at 1 am everything is fast moving so you need all the help you can get from a little auto ISO................and as for the 10k ISO BS ........im not buying that

Hay Bill

Got a new toy to take to Barcelona......M10 Noctilux and I might get that little 5,6 28mm summerlux as well..........I was going to take TL2 but I will hand that off to my wife and try and get excited about FF again..........I love my MF gear but heavy shit to walk about with.....X2D will be my next big buy in Jan 2019

Here is one from when I was last in Spain last year shot with my Noctilux and SL and auto ISO

I read it already mate and thank you for the link...........the jargon inside that link is way above my heed but got the gist of it being push and pull kind of jargon with some developing times kicked in.........still trying to figure out how to do that with a digital camera............maybe leave the SD card in the reader for a longer period of time :) :)

Very nice Neil,

I just love the M10 as I have two of them.....! But I also really love the X1D. Even with its initial quirks, it is such a fabulous system. I have the 21, 30, 45, 90 and 120 lens for it. I know I am slightly crazy but I really do not have anything to spend my retirement on. We have not kids so it is cameras for me and whatever I can get away with!!!!! I got rid of my S due to the weight but still have the SL. It is a little heavy but I can live with it.

I,m also getting rid of my S and just keeping H6D100c M10 and the X2D when that becomes available .................I feel that even if Leica do come out with a new S008 there heart isn't in it like what Hasselblad is with there MF systems

Im looking forward to trying my new M10 in Spain

It was a hard decision to get rid of such a nice system and I agonized about it but shipped everything off to my Leica dealer to sell.
