stuny Posted July 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2007 Al - Lovely light, color and selective focus. I'd be tempted to crop it a bit to the left of the left antennae.
jmr Posted July 9, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 9, 2007 Al, nice subject, colour and focus. I agree with Stuart about the crop, it would focus the attention more.
azzo Posted July 9, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 9, 2007 ...and slightly from the top also, IMHO. A lovely capture with magnificent colours and detail. Azzo
albert Posted July 9, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted July 9, 2007 Thanks Gentlemen, I was thinking of the milkweed from a naturalists point of view........hence, no crop in order to show the milkweed in flower off in the distance and a tall milkweed plant on the left side......I should have been thinking about creating a better photograph.........appreciate the learned advice.........Al
macos Posted July 9, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 9, 2007 I like it the way it is. The colors and the details are astonishing, perhaps the light is a little harsh, but you can not switch off the sun. Concerning the framing I personally would leave it as it is. The non-centered geometry distinguishes the picture from most of the others and thete is a connection with the surrounding.
