LD_50 Posted May 28, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted May 28, 2018 I use L plate with 16-35, 24-90, and 50. I use the tripod foot for 90-280.

LD_50 Posted May 28, 2018 Share #4 Â Posted May 28, 2018 Because I chose an L plate for those lenses rather than a tripod collar.

Donzo98 Posted May 28, 2018 Share #6 Â Posted May 28, 2018 Because you dont have the tripid collar for 50/2490/1635? Â Â Because it isn't needed for those lenses. The 90-280 is long and heavier... L bracket would stress the SL's mount too much,
LD_50 Posted May 28, 2018 Share #7  Posted May 28, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Because?, please tell us more. Thanks. I don’t know what you’re looking for.  The 16-35, 24-90, and 50 (and the Summicrons, and my M lenses) do not need additional support. I use an L plate from RRS because it’s great quality and improves the grip.  The 90-280 requires additional support so when a tripod is required I use the supplied foot with an added RRS L84 plate.
