Leica SL Remote control App - unstable

Hi

 

I used the Leica SL App (IOS Version 3.0) today with an iPhone 11.3.1 (the latest version I downloaded last week), and I found it to be very unstable. My two biggest issues were the frequent disconnects even though I was by the camera and live image not displayed until after I took the first photo. 

 

Anyone else seen this? 

 

Last time I used IOS App with the SL was in Feb 2018 and I had no such issues then. The SL app was Version 3.0 but the phone IOS was probably what was current then.

Yes. I noticed similar behaviour as well.

 

However I assumed it’s related to the firmware version.

It used to work fine with firmware version 3.0.

Every since I upgraded to 3.1, The camera seems to lag if I tried to change settings using the camera. Ie shutter speed or aperture while connected.

I also experience lost of connection.

 

I haven’t tried version 3.2.

I installed 3.2 today - SL 3.0 IOS App seems to be more stable; I played with the camera for 10mins while it was connected without a crash.

I do not see any improvement.

After 1 hour trials I gave up.

Work to be done by Leica.

The connectivity between an iPhone and camera seems to be more stable.

Between iPad and SL it blocks all the time :-(
