@trickness, film colours are addictive, aren't they? 😉

I agree in part, but I have just suffered a box of Kodak UltraMax. Bought only because at the time nothing else was available. It is a terrible film to scan. Even the processed film looks 'off'. Portra 400 is my go to film, despite its cost. It scan easily, requiring little or no PP. Every time I shoot a roll of Portra, I say, that's another bottle of wine I won't buy.

Yes! Film colour is different from Digital, and that's good.

Interesting. I never tried Kodak’s holiday snaps line. I shoot their cine stock since ever and continue to do so in my Ms thanks to fellow film enthusiasts who sell my poison readily rolled up in canisters.

I’m sure, Portra is basically the same stuff, only optimised for C41 and stills camera (doesn't require that tearproof base), which kind of pushes the stock by one stop compared to ENC2. So (guess), Portra 400 somewhat equals to 5207 250D, which is my favourite colour film.

If I’d to choose between a bottle of red Bordeaux and a roll of fine Kodak negative, I say most of the time the film wins.

They are! I’m still in that phase where I’m taking meaningless photographs just to see how the color looks 😂 - these pictures aren’t very good, but I really really do love the color, along with how film handles highlights, and the out of focus areas

This fellow Leica shooter saw me with my MP at a street fair in Oakland and started up a conversation. After a while, I asked to take his picture. I think I had the 35 Summilux on at the time.
