sean_reid Posted July 6, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The 35 mm article will be completed soon and the next set up are the 85/90 mm lenses. I have the Zeiss 85/2.0 and CV 90/3.5 here. A lot of Leica's press lenses are out now with a group of Magnum photographers in Korea so it may be a while before they're available. If you have a copy of a Leica 90 (of whatever stripe) that you would consider loaning for the test, please PM me. I would need to borrow it for at least a month. Thanks, Sean
Advertisement Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Hi sean_reid, Take a look here Looking For Leica 90s. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sps Posted July 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2007 Sean, I have a 90 Apo-Summicron (uncoded) that focuses dead-on. It has a B&W 486 filter on it. A month might be a little long for me though as my 75 Summilux is back-focusing by almost a foot & must go for adjustment. I would need it back in my hands by July 18th, but you could have it until then.

blakley Posted July 7, 2007 Share #7 Posted July 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've got an Elmarit 90/2.8 and a 90/2 Summicron (pre-ASPH) both uncoded, currently on consignment. They don't look that likely to sell soon; I could reel them back in & ship them to you if they fill a hole in your review lineup. Drop me a pm if interested. vanhulsenbeek Posted July 7, 2007 Share #9 Posted July 7, 2007 Sean Please do not forget to include the Macro Elmar 90: a stellar performer. Doubt if Leica loaned that one out to the Magnum crowd. I would gladly loan you mine, weren't it that I am based in the Netherlands. And leave for a month vacation in a fortnight.
sean_reid Posted July 16, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks to everyone who has contacted me about the 90s. I should have a Summicron pre-asph on loan from Bob Blakley soon and a 90 Summicron Aspherical on loan from Mark Gowin. The Zeiss 85/2.0 and CV 90/3.5 are here as well but what I'm still looking for is the current 90/2.8. Anyone who is able or willing to loan that, please feel free to PM me. Leica doesn't have one free right now. Cheers, Sean
dcoombs Posted July 16, 2007 Share #11 Posted July 16, 2007 I also hope you can lay your hands on the current elmar macro lens. I am considering buying one and am interested in its performance compared with the others, even without the macro features. Look forward to your reviews. Regards.
