lx1713 Posted April 13, 2018 Share #21 Â Posted April 13, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today was an exceptional bad day of wandering focus point for me. The Touch AF kept switching itself on despite my turning it off several times. That led to the wandering focus point I think. I'm trying to nail down the exact sequence when that happens but I haven't a clue as yet.
Advertisement Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Hi lx1713, Take a look here New SL firmware coming 4-23-18. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lx1713 Posted April 13, 2018 Share #22 Â Posted April 13, 2018 My focus point wanders occasionally on the SL and CL, but locking it is not the answer IMO - I would like a means of quickly recentering it. A lock means I will forget to unlock it just when I want to refocus and take a shot in a hurry. Â Would prefer this too.
lx1713 Posted April 13, 2018 Share #23 Â Posted April 13, 2018 I would like to see the distance info of the depth of field in the EVF too. Not just on the top OLED display.
panoreserve Posted April 13, 2018 Share #24 Â Posted April 13, 2018 Locking focus point is by now possible! Â Go to "SETUP", then "AF SETUP", "NUMBER OF STEPS", "1". Choosing under "AF FIELD SIZE" the option "FIELD". Â This configuration enables you to lock the focus point! Â Switching from "FIELD" to "1 POINT", and you have instantly the possibility moving again the focus point...
bsmith Posted April 13, 2018 Author Share #25 Â Posted April 13, 2018 We already know this, but we want to lock the "1 point " Â "1 point " is important at 1.4 Hopefully Leica has added that in 3.2. Â Yes, it would be better to have a physical controller switch, but menu locking is better than none at all for 1 point. Â Let's see on the 23rd

HeinzX Posted April 14, 2018 Share #27 Â Posted April 14, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Since the first firmware a lot of things have changed. I would like to have a new printed booklet concernig instructions after the new firmware. Of course not for free but for a fair price.
lx1713 Posted April 14, 2018 Share #28 Â Posted April 14, 2018 I would like to see the distance info of the depth of field in the EVF too. Not just on the top OLED display. Â In rethinking this I will not put this forward. It's really effective for me on the 11-23 only. The focus peaking overlay is likely more effective but irritating personally. Just a matter of getting used to it.
