M10 shutter dial half-stops won't detent

Hi everyone, the shutter dial half-stops won't detent on my M10, but the in-between shutter value are still usable, just won't detent at any half-stop... As I recall, it clicks at both marked stops and half-stops since I bought it last December, and it only took 3 months to malfunction...

 

 

I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem? Unfortunately I'm now on a long term business trip to some remoted area and unable to send the camera to any Leica service centre, so if there is any way that maybe I can fix the problem myself?

If you mean the points between the marked speeds on the dial, mine have detents.

Yes…mine used to detent but now it doesn't

Report it to Leica immediately, explaining you cannot return the camera immediately for the reason you said. Cover yourself with prompt report to leica.
