marcg Posted March 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) The blurb on Leica's website says that the new flash will permit HSS with compatible cameras. Further down it identifies the M 10, the SL and the S as "perfect matches - Compatible Camera Systems" https://us.leica-camera.com/Photography/General-Accessories/General-Accessories/SF60-and-SFC1 Does this mean that the M10 will be able to access HSS flash? FlashGordonPhotography Posted March 23, 2018 Share #3 Posted March 23, 2018 Well the SF40, 58 and 64 allow HSS on the M10 so I don't see why the new one wouldn't. The only difference is now you have wireless TTL and HSS. Gordon

derleicaman Posted March 23, 2018 Share #6 Posted March 23, 2018 The mention of Nissin accessories for the new Leica flash gives some clues. Take a look at this link: http://www.nissindigital.com/i40.html Looks pretty much like the unit Leica is showing. One might reasonably assume that the Nissin i40 for Sony would be compatible with Leica cameras, as it appears to be the same unit with the Leica brand on it. I believe previous Leica branded flashes were Metz based. Leica is not big enough to make their own flashes, so why not team with Nissin?
marcg Posted March 23, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted March 23, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes - but I can imagine that Leica might make sure that while the Nissin talks Japanese, the Leica only understands German
