MrEd Posted July 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2007 Hi Arlen, Very good details, do you do your own scans? I like it. Thanks for sharing. Ed. .
hdg Posted July 5, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 5, 2007 Sorry Arlen, it`s to much redish. Look at my idea on this nice place. Regards Hans
stuny Posted July 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2007 Hans - I experimented with the same thing (auto white balance, then slight overall boost to the darks and lights, increasing the contrast), which helped "true" the color, and remove the washed-out look. I hope this is what Arlen had in mind when he scanned the image.
Mountaineer-American Posted July 5, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted July 5, 2007 Frechen, I like what you did with my photograph. Thanks a million. I don't have a clue how you did it. Don't have a film scanner myself. Took 100 odd slides to a shop & had them scanned to a CD. Ed, I have only a flat-bed scanner which I use primarily for documents, occasionally for scanning photographs into the computer. I appreciate all the comments y'all sent.
