Bill W Posted July 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are there any issues with an older Ashp lux 35. Serial number is 366xxxx. I am not sure how old that makes it but I was just curious if anyone had any thoughts? It is not the one that has aspherical spelled out of course. Those were the very first ones produced. David I guess I should have said the lens is a model #11874 which is still the current one for this lens, it is just several years old.
ho_co Posted July 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2007 Bill-- If it's the current catalog number, it's the current lens. Older or newer, it's optically the same. Leica will occasionally modify lens coatings or some such without changing the catalog listing, but any 'real' change will be reflected in a change of catalog number. --HC
