Ok, but I still don't see any data or test that shows that with ISO 200-640 the M10 is better than the A7III / A7rIII series.

Neither one is better than the other. They are just different.

Hear, hear! Not much evidence to suggest otherwise really.

Thankfully I am able to own and shoot both systems to a certain degree of success. Two very different tools that one may prefer over the other or in my case I prefer using both. Sometimes I have very clear use cases for which system I select to produce a deliverable. Other times I like blurring the lines and pick up whichever strikes my fancy with one caveat, when I want to share the Leica Look with others, that's when I pick up the M10 and M glass.

If we look at it from senor point of view, the Sony is miles ahead of the Leica. I dont own a Sony, I only rent the a7r3 when needed, but it cant be denied that is just much much better sensor. Dynamic range, noise, however you want to call it, just look at https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Compare/Side-by-side/Leica-M10-versus-Sony-A7R-III___1207_1187 is more than a fact.

If I could put my Nikon D850 sensor in my M10 I would do so in an instant.  I am really enjoying the photography experience with the M10, but there is no denying the sharpness and detail that pops out from a 46MP shot, yes, even hand held in good light.  I suspect an 'M11" will arrive, some will carp that we don't need that many pixels and that their exceptional compositional skills are satisfied with 6MP, the camera will get great reviews, some will upgrade, the rest won't matter, and all will be good.

Details popping off the screen used to be Leica’s domain. Now it’s been taken over by those 40+ MPx FF sensors. Can’t wait for Apple to come out with their 8K Retina Display for more popping detail enjoyment.

Almost there with the new 47MP CDAF-only Panasonic (TowerJazz?) Leica Q2 sensor. Early indicators are looking pretty good and surely we will see the same or similar come to the next M Rangefinder.

I hope they use a custom made chip like for the S3. Maybe we will be looking at less than 40 MPx for the M11, therefore. Heck, I hope they take the same approach with the SL2 and don’t use an off the shelf chip.
