Good article but I believe it is incorrect in saying the floating element in the 0.95 is there to correct for aperture changes. It’s there to reduce abberations with changes in focus distance. It is not coupled to the aperture, but to the focus helicoid.

Largely ignores the F1 version, not much more than a table and a discussion about hoods.
