Ok, I have a weird obscure question. I was looking through the Leica SL camera manual today, to answer a question that caused me to look at the viewfinder illustrations.

I saw one that showed an icon that was identified as the "HDR progress bar"? I am not aware that the SL has any HDR functionality. I looked in the index and read briefly through the manual contents and couldn't find any discussion or explanation of HDR in the SL.

Does anybody know about this?

There is an HDR progress bar shown when automatic bracketing is ON, JPEG file format is selected, and JPEG HDR function is ON. It is exactly as shown in the manual illustration.

Check out the bracketing section for a description of the HDR function.

Thank you so much. I completely missed that page, since it's called "AUTOMATIC EXPOSURE BRACKETING" which I never use. Automatic or bracketing, I am a manual and decisive type of person.

It's actually page 226 in the English manual.
