Leica SL HDR progress bar ???

Ok, I have a weird obscure question. I was looking through the Leica SL camera manual today, to answer a question that caused me to look at the viewfinder illustrations. 

 

​I saw one that showed an icon that was identified as the "HDR progress bar"? I am not aware that the SL has any HDR functionality. I looked in the index and read briefly through the manual contents and couldn't find any discussion or explanation of HDR in the SL.

 

Does anybody know about this?

It must be a feature to be added in the future. There's no progress bar on any of the viewfinder displays, but there's room for one.

There is an HDR progress bar shown when automatic bracketing is ON, JPEG file format is selected, and JPEG HDR function is ON. It is exactly as shown in the manual illustration.

 

Check out the bracketing section for a description of the HDR function.

That's right, it's on p. 222 of the manual.

Thank you so much. I completely missed that page, since it's called "AUTOMATIC EXPOSURE BRACKETING" which I never use. Automatic or bracketing, I am a manual and decisive type of person. 

 

It's actually page 226 in the English manual.

It's on p. 222 of the manual that came with my camera, as well as the manual you can download from Leica. Both say they were written for FW version 2.0. It would be nice if they'd amend the manual to reflect the changes in version 3.0.
