Mark T Posted February 3, 2018 Share #61 Posted February 3, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) What's with the best focal length stuff? Who asks that? A total new-comer who knows nothing about the median from which to judge - a 50mm, or a totally disoriented consumer wishing to dive into photography wishing there were an advantaged focal length? Let 'em work it their own.

A total new-comer who knows nothing about the median from which to judge - a 50mm, or a totally disoriented consumer wishing to dive into photography wishing there were an advantaged focal length? Herr Barnack Posted February 3, 2018 Share #63 Posted February 3, 2018 Interesting testimony of an HCB's "apprentice" here: https://ishupatel.com/PHOTOGRAPHY/My-Time-with-Henri-Cartier-Bresson/1/caption Clicked on the link, but cannot find the article - can you post a link to the article itself? Thanks...
Exodies Posted February 3, 2018 Share #64 Posted February 3, 2018 Clicked on the link, but cannot find the article - can you post a link to the article itself? Thanks... Works for me - the link takes me to a picture of an airmail envelope with the text below it.
pgk Posted February 3, 2018 Share #65 Posted February 3, 2018 Clicked on the link, but cannot find the article - can you post a link to the article itself? Thanks... You have to hover the mouse over the envelope and scroll - not intuitive if you don't notice the text below the envelope.
IkarusJohn Posted February 3, 2018 Share #66 Posted February 3, 2018 Sometimes the questions seem ill-considered, but usually they’re genuine. If a photographer of Cartier-Bresson’s standing can take the time to answer, I’m happy enough to try. Often I learn something too.

On the other hand, what is the point of a forum? Pardon me for that. It was a thoughtless comment.
