I've asked Xiaoming Zhang if there's a hold up on the shipping as I haven't had a shipped confirmation yet. 😗

UPDATE: Xiaoming Zhang has replied telling me (in broken English, understandably) that "we found a small issue, need to make plastic support a little high to avoid pin broken when mount Leica S lens". In 2 or 3 days I should get a shipping confirmation. They're certainly taking the development of this adapter very seriously, which can only bode well. He also said that this has been their most difficult AF adapter to develop.

No, hurry. I guess some people are waiting for the clearance of its reliability concerns. This type of update is good. It shows there are some reliability test going on.

Rough for anyone in the US though, as there is now a 104% tariff.

If the tariffs stick, it could be worth having a trusted person outside the USA order the adapter and going to pick it up from them. Once attached to the camera, Customs probably wouldn't even notice it. Just leave the packaging behind. Not that I am recommending or encouraging anyone to do anything illegal or unethical.

It is unlikely to last that long. Once the goal is achieved or shows it would never achieve, it will turn.

Here’s  Reagan’s speech that worth to review.

I don't think the low lifes in charge now give a flying fk about Reagan, or even the reality of economics. The art of the deal for the person in question is bullying, tariffs are just a way to intimidate. Although they may never really go into effect, the threat of high tariffs will remain in his arsenal. He is not very original, intelligent or imaginative.

Rumors said there are suddenly huge amount of orders for DJI in Mexico and Canada near US borders. Hmm, what are they up to?! You might hit the right button.

My adapter has shipped from China! Estimated delivery next Tuesday (22nd).

Kipon have created a new Facebook group specifically for this adapter "KIPON Leica S-GFX AF Adapter". Keep an eye on it for updates/user experiences. 👍

Out of curiosity, how many people here have a Leica S and a Fuji GFX (of whatever model)?

I had GFX 100II before I replaced it with Leica S3. But someday when I feel S3 is outdated and S4 not shows up, and GFX shows compelling benefits, GFX might be the candidate. For now, anything can potentially keep S lenses going is much welcomed.

S006, S3 and GFX100S. The latter to be used with S-lenses, once the adapter arrives.
