SDHC hard-drive back-up

Hi Guys,

 

I am off to South Africa again soon, and for the first time will be using my M9; up to now I have always used my M6 and film when away.  Is there any handy hard-drive available I can back up my photos onto, without having to take a lap-top?  I won't need to do anything with the files whilst away, just back them up for safety.

There are digital wallets...that sort of thing, or you can do what a friend does. Just use you cards once, and store when full. Memory cards are cheap enough nowadays.

RavPower File Hub. It has a SD Card slot and you can plug a USB external hard drive and copy your files over.

I have an older version of the WD My Passport Wireless, and it work fine for backup of memory cards on the road.

I carry a SanDisk SSD that weighs nothing for backup via a light laptop (a Lenovo X1 Carbon 5th gen.) or, in a pinch, the hotel lobby PC that is used for printing boarding passes. Needs must.

I travel with a MS Surface Pro. I know you're not taking a laptop, but I wouldn't wish to travel without the facility to review and edit on the go, or post on this forum and other social media. If I feel the need for extra storage for backup, then I use a tiny 128Gb Sandisk Extreme Pro memory stick.
