In 1966 Norbert Navarro, a wealthy Italian nightclub owner / operator purchased a new Ferrari 330 GT Coupe, but was less than pleased with what he thought was much too conservative styling, and in an attempt to 'improve it' sketched out his own design, and having Piero Drogo of Carrozzeria Motorsport ( who designed and built the legtendary, original 250 GT "Breadvan" concept ) restyle the car to his design - wound up calling it the 'Navarro-Special Golden car'. Personally, I thought he should have been horsewhipped for taking one of Ferrari's better designs and winding up with.........This.

I wouldn't think it possible, but the rear is even worse.

If I were Ferrari, I would insist that the prancing horse badge and any other Ferrari trade marks be removed from this travesty.

However, there has always been a history of coach builders working on a car company's chassis, so to a certain extent if this guy has bought his Ferrari he can do what he likes with it.

(cue the sound effect of a toilet flushing, as the writer of this comment just finished vomiting after seeing the car).  Oh my, how ugly.  I'll have to check the criminal code to see if we can have him prosecuted.  Additionally, with those buttresses he reduces his outward vision tremendously.  Looking once more at your fine photos, which hopefully  shooting this abomination did not damage your camera, I took the time to look at the small details, which makes me appreciate the Pontiac Aztec for the first time in my life.

I had to Google that one Stuart.

The Daily Telegraph's response:

I hope no lenses were cracked in taking the photos above :)

Didn’t that one play a starring role in Breaking Bad? As the Walter White-mobile? I thought it exceptionally fine car-casting!
