Hi everyone,

Just received my M10 today (coming from an M8.5, M9-P, and multiple film M bodies). I'll get right to the point. I have a "Japanese Summilux" attached via a Metabones adapter LTM-M adapter.

When I press the Live View button, I get a live view for a few seconds and then it turns off. Everything else works fine. I've searched the forums and checked the manual, but I'm lost.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Not 100% sure this will fix your issue, but try selecting a lens type in the manual “coding” menu. The 50mm 1.4 non Asph should work well, but any selection might enable live view for you.

I had the same problem before and it was caused by the adapter. My original Leica adapter had a cutout (to facilitate the use of lenses with infinity lock) that leaves the "lens code reader" exposed - reading nothing

Changed the adapter to one without the cutout and problem fixed.

I don't think it is related to lack of coding via an adapter or lack of a manual code. I have been using an uncoded 135mm Tele-Elmar and the LV has been working as intended. In the information display the camera 'thinks' an R adapter is being used but this makes no difference to function.

Does the camera function correctly with a lens with M bayonet mounted? If so, the problem lies with the adapter. Sometimes the camera thinks there is no lens attached when an adapter with a cutout is mounted. Use one that is specifically made for digital M cameras.
