nuanda Posted December 28, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone, I've just bought a brand new Leica Q and I noticed some strange problem that I didn't know what to do about. I am shooting only DNG and when I review my photos on the camera's LCD all the files have some strange purple, yellow and pink cast over them and a small amount of posterization. When I transfer the DNGs to my computer they are completely fine and these problems disappear. If I shoot JPEG + DNG everything is fine as well. Does any of you noticed something like that and is it normal? I have the latest firmaware version 2.0 installed. Thank you very much.

SonomaBear Posted December 28, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2017 Without a JPEG to use for displays, the Q renders one of low quality from the DNG. Try setting the JPEG parameters to fix this issue. I set the JPEG to 24M with very natural sharpness, saturation, etc. -- then I shoot DNG only while still having a very decent preview on the LCD. I'm not any engineer, this has been my experience and my unscientific deduction. And welcome to the Q forum! Congratulations on a wise but expensive decision.
Upland Posted January 24, 2018 Share #3 Posted January 24, 2018 I purchased my Q a year ago, it came with 2.0 software. It has worked flawlessly until yesterday. When shooting Winter senics, I changed orientation from landscape to portrait and a yellow patch appeared. It appeared in the center of of the LCD and the size of a focusing box. Changing back to landscape it reappears. The LCD image and EVF image after taking the picture has posterization in the center and snow has purple, red and yellow areas. Shooting DNG with or without JPEG gives same results. Downloaded images and printed pictures are normal. Problem seems isolated to LCD and EVF. Suggestions on what I should do to resolve this issue much appreciated. Thanks
