jazzskepta Posted February 17 Share #1403 Posted February 17 Has anyone had a focussing issue with this lens? I just purchased a copy and am using it with an M11-P, but when I use the OVF to focus and the rangefinder patch is lined up, the image is not sharp on my EVF and I still need to turn the focussing ring slightly further clockwise. jaapv Posted February 17 Share #1404 Posted February 17 So lens and camera need to be calibrated. Both. Send the combo in. Any competent third party service can do that for you. Don’t send it to Leica it will take ages. It i is essential to send both in. Don’t bother to try and find out which of the two is off. It is wasted effort, as a competent service will find out in five minutes. you can try and adjust the roller wheel ( see the threads in this forum) but chances are that all your other lenses will be off. Bikie John Posted September 26 Share #1419 Posted September 26 @FrozenInTime An interesting set, thank you. For me, the one that works best is the third, with the people close to the camera and the Scotsman hotel (or is it the newspaper offices?) in the background, it has a nice balance of the fuzzy and reasonably clear. John Yes, historic newspaper offices, now a hotel. Thanks for the feedback; I'm in the discovery phase with this lens. Wide open glow does indeed seem too much for most subjects. I am thinking best results are in the f/3.2 to f/6.3 where the effects are that bit more subtle.
