scott kirkpatrick Posted November 19, 2017 Share #21  Posted November 19, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Oops, that was careless, since I haven't looked at any S DNG's that would require correction. The only S lens that I have is the 120 and it has distortion of only a few tenths of a percent. Do you have a DNG for the 24mm S, shooting on an SL, that I could take a look at?  thanks,  scott
Advertisement Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Hi scott kirkpatrick, Take a look here lens correction for S lenses on the SL. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
scott kirkpatrick Posted November 19, 2017 Share #22  Posted November 19, 2017 OK, I opened two DNG files made with the 120S on my SL, and both have tiny, color dependent WarpRectilinear distortion corrections incorporated. In addition, the corrections depend on the focus distance! This is in keeping with the technical specs on Leica's latest lenses, which now report how they behave at infinity and at the distance of closest focus. For this lens, the correction at a distance of 1 m is less than the correction at infinity. Now I would really love to see a 24 or 30 mm S DNG file prepared on the SL.  scott

Sadly, I haven't any 24mm + SL shots available at the moment, and since i sold my 007 and lenses I am not able to take a quick sample for you.
