JohnBonner418 Posted November 6, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if it would be possible to use a LEICA D 14 - 50 mm ASPH (F2.8 - F3.5) lens on a Fujifilm x-pro 1 with appropriate adapter? It is such a good lens that I would like to use it even after the demise of the D3 body. The 4/3 adaptor costs over £60 so I do want to know if it would be suitable before buying one. I have used both my m series and leicaflex lenses to very good effect. I am untroubled by the lack of autofocus and probable lack of image stabilisation too. Thank you in advance

jip Posted November 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted November 9, 2017 Remember, the lens is made for 4/3 and the Fuji X series is APS-C...
jaapv Posted November 11, 2017 Share #4 Posted November 11, 2017 One might just get lucky with the image circle, reason to give it a try.
lx1713 Posted November 11, 2017 Share #5 Posted November 11, 2017 At the tele end, possibly, because image circles tend to be larger at normal to tele lens. Wide angle are more critical in their image circles. You will likely get mushy corners. Won't know unless you tried. Or the designer of the lens. It may well be okay at a much smaller aperture setting like f11 or f16 where the corners improve. One thing you may dislike is likely to be a severe vignette. Fall off of 3-5 stops because it's beyond the lens' job to deliver.
