stuny Posted October 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 9, 2017 Very nice. Pumpkins are a "new world" fruit, cultivated my Native Americans in New England, which seems to have the idea climate to produce big ones. Typically, big ones gain 50 lbs. a day from mid summer on. In recent years Belgian and British botanists have been growing record size ones in artificial environments mimicking (but perfecting) the New England climate. Recently a Belgian lab produced a world record pumpkin weighing more than 2600 lbs.
