rramesh Posted September 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bought a set of Phottix Strato II comprising a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter has an integral hot shoe with TTL pass through. With a SF40 attached as primary flash it works in full TTL, A and M mode. On the receiver end it only supports M mode on pretty much any flash used for fill flashes.
Advertisement Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hi rramesh, Take a look here Leica M9 and Wireless Triggers. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Luke_Miller Posted September 12, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2017 Can't tell if you are reporting a problem or making a brief review of the wireless trigger. It seems the TTL signals are not passed over the wireless signal so manual only for remote flashes. Presumably one could use Auto Thyrister mode on the remote flash, but the SF-40 does not have that mode. Its A mode is a variation of TTL, so it works in manual only. The Phottix Strato II is one of the few wireless triggers that has an integral hotshoe and the only one I think that has a full TTL paasthrough (Pocket wizard probably has one at its price). This means any Leica flash on an M will work with full TTL functionality when mounted direct onto the trigger or with a Nikon cable. Other flashes will be mounted on receivers in M more only.
