luigi bertolotti Posted July 29, 2017 Share #21 Â Posted July 29, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) They are (indirectly ? partially ?) owned by Leica co. ... I hope they are well geared now.. because this strict relation is widely known in our world. I Have been a customer of them for lot of years (from the times of their first site with Excel lists... I have some of 1998-99..); I haven't taken record of the money that flew from my pockets to Vienna...surely much more than to Leica co. in itself (bought 3 NEW items in my life : M8, M240, Summarit 75) : globally I anyway regard them as a trustable seller: the two above facts were also the only I occured into, to be honest. Considering those grease marks has soften and almost invisible. I think it's safe to continue with it without any maintenance work. It's odd though. If what they told me is true, they must used something special while they clean the blades. Or maybe the weather triggered it. Who knows....I will share another picture of it shortly. arvin Posted July 31, 2017 Author Share #23 Â Posted July 31, 2017 Comparing the before and after photos, those grease marks look like been flatten on the blades and still visible but not as scary if that make sense. Â LS offered to pick up the lens and back to them for further examination and cleaning. Finger crossed. Â Â Â Â my name is Arvin & I am not a photographer. arvin Posted July 31, 2017 Author Share #25 Â Posted July 31, 2017 That looks more like oil than the first photos. The flash on my phone made it looks more obvious. It's in fact dry looking patterns. It looks more like greasy finger prints left on CDs if you know what I meant. Â Â my name is Arvin & I am not a photographer.
