rpittal Posted July 29, 2017 Share #23 Posted July 29, 2017 The SL right angle viewfinder is optical and not electronic. I purchased it and it works well for low shots, but it is not too secure. I use a bit of gagger tap to hold it in place better. Large field of view and bright; can also be rotated. I mostly use it on a tripod and not handheld (with manual focus M lenses). The SL's LCD and fixings are not designed to cope with a cantilever load that the weight of this device and an iPhone would introduce and you could wind up damaging your SL. Pete. The only reliable way to secure an external LCD screen is a camera cage with some sort of a screen holder.
