SonomaBear Posted July 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I will never sell my Q. There, I'm done explaining how much I love the little box that lives beside me wherever am! All that being said, the TL2 looks lovely. But I won't buy M or SL full frame glass for a crop sensor (regardless how wonderful)? I was unimpressed by the SL when I borrowed one at the Leica store. Huge. No aperture control on lens (old guy here) If my Q allowed me to remove the unbelievable 28 Summilux to install an adapter for all the M lenses... Nirvana! I'm an old fashioned photographer who sets most things manually but hates squinting at the ridiculous rangefinder rectangle -- the EVF of the Q is perfect for me (YMMV) So let me ask Mr. Leica... can we get a Q body that takes an M adapter and SL lenses? Your huge SL will never replace the M. Your TL (crop sensor) will never replace the M. Your M10 continues an archaic (yet charming) focus system. M glass is still the world's standard! Many of us hate holding the camera away from our eyes just to use the rear monitor for focus... let us get intimate with the image. Live view and add-on dongles are not the answer! mrgigi Posted July 12, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 12, 2017 I'd "settle" for a Leica Q Vario any day! That would be my dream camera.

SonomaBear Posted July 13, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted July 13, 2017 M & EVF is the solution you're looking for. Available now! Thank you James. I tried the M240 with 50mm 'Lux and Visoflex... Beautiful images and the Visoflex works nicely for my eyes (better than RF). To me, this is a solution cobbled together from the parts bins... good final product in spite of difficult workflow. The Q is the answer if the SL is too big and the M is too clumsy. It's 28 'Lux continues to amaze me after almost two years. The TL family is lovely (I prefer the Q interface) but APS-c versus Full Frame? For my shooting, FF has the proper optical physics for DoF. I like them all, I love but one.
