Advertisement Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Hi sillbeers15, Take a look here Magnification for Native SL Lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ingo Posted July 6, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted July 6, 2017 With FW 3.0 you can add the magnification to the AE/AF button.
sillbeers15 Posted July 6, 2017 Author Share #3 Â Posted July 6, 2017 Tkx Ingo. Tried it did not like loosing 'back button' AF option to gain magnification on joystick. I had to revert back to not to loose 'back button' AF option.
FlashGordonPhotography Posted July 6, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted July 6, 2017 the lower left button still works for magnification. Â Gordon
sillbeers15 Posted July 6, 2017 Author Share #5 Â Posted July 6, 2017 Thx Gordon. I figured that out but requires me to take my left hand off the lens barrel onto the camera and back. If only I could assign the front button to trigger magnification, this way I can keep the 'back button' AF feature which I treasure.
ramarren Posted July 6, 2017 Share #6  Posted July 6, 2017 There's no way to do what you want with the camera in an AF mode.  Use MF mode, use the back button to force AF focus, then tap the LL button for magnification and tune the focus manually from there. That's the closest to what you're trying to achieve.
TDR Posted July 16, 2017 Share #7 Â Posted July 16, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) In version 3.0 click on the joy stick to turn on magnification. Â But how can I change the level of magnification? It's so high that the image jumps around too much. I'm thinking there is a way to reduce the magnification a little, but I can't find it. LD_50 Posted July 16, 2017 Share #8 Â Posted July 16, 2017 Use the BL button to cycle different magnifications.
