ramarren Posted July 2, 2017 Share #21  Posted July 2, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) find me a retailer that has it in stock (ebay doesn't count)   Leica Store San Francisco had one in stock last week when I was there. It was sold while I was looking at the photo exhibit ... they'll have a couple more within a week or so. It's been a very popular model so they go out of stock quickly.

Irakly Shanidze Posted July 2, 2017 Share #23 Â Posted July 2, 2017 I think I have better luck finding a NES Mini... Â Leica SL roadmap and availability is a joke, even worse than Hasselblad X1D Â Â You do not need luck, you need determination. BTW, some legitimate dealers now sell on eBay, and there is nothing wrong with buying there. Same warranty, same, sometimes even better, protection. Yes, Leica is a small company working at its full capacity, and the fact that some products are in short supply is a testament to its ability to create things that generate a great deal of demand, not that they are not responding to the market. Â No offense but as much as I love Leica products this is to a large extent BS. Â Even Leica itself admitted that they kept the supply of the Leica Q low as to not to flood the market. Â High demand is obviously in element explaining long delivery times but more than anything else it is unfortunately the way Leica has chosen to work. FlashGordonPhotography Posted July 3, 2017 Share #25 Â Posted July 3, 2017 I think I have better luck finding a NES Mini... Â Leica SL roadmap and availability is a joke, even worse than Hasselblad X1D Â Find yourself a dealer. Put your self on the list and wait for the call. Â I deal with two camera stores and one Leica store. When I want a product I go on the list. However since I am a good customer and have built a rapport when something is coming I have expressed interest in they call me and give me the delivery date. So I got my SL50 early. I got the 1st 90-280 in the country and I have my X1D and three lenses. Â Find a dealer who looks after you and build a relationship with them. That's how you get the stuff that's hard to get. Online shopping is great but the old fashioned way is still the best for hard to get stuff. Sometimes it isn't what you know but who you know. sillbeers15 Posted July 4, 2017 Share #26 Â Posted July 4, 2017 Received a text from Leica Store this Morning telling me about an exstock M10 available. Damn, not the silver I wanted. By afternoon at4:30pm I picked it up and I'm in the process of charging the battery and putting up an online adverb to ditch my M240. My SL 601 stays with me. Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted July 4, 2017 Share #27 Â Posted July 4, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) The difference between the M cameras and the SL is not in the lenses, it is in the way one takes photographs. They could not be more different. Why............if you are using M lenses then they are the same, except one is for folks with good eyesight and the other is for the likes of me with bad eyesight !!! Â Neil It's very different shooting with my SL and MP 240 with the same M lenses. They aren't very similar at all really unless you're using an EVF on the M.
