dkCambridgeshire Posted June 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Last weekend I attended the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts' Club Annual Rally at Burghley House near Stamford where I was introduced to Fen … a former feral cat who thinks she's human and thus accompanies her 'sibling' carers Terry and Toad Wright wherever they go … including classic car events and motor cycle rallies. Terry and Toad found feral kitten Fen behind their dustbin and they bonded immediately. Fen is a very clever cat and loves her 'Toad powered' wheelie cat basket. When on her leash she'll walk just like a dog on a lead. When prompted to return to her basket she'll leap straight back in and survey her latest 'new trip' surroundings. When Fen needs to relieve herself at home she 'asks' to use the bathroom. Fen's unique attribute is her ability to detect 'unwellness'. Terry Wright related his experience with Fen which alerted him to an undiagnosed health issue. Fen developed a curiosity about Terry's abdomen i.e. she kept jumping up onto his lap to inspect, explore and repeatedly nudge and sniff his tummy. Suspecting that Fen was aware of an undiagnosed ailment, Terry sought medical advice and was diagnosed with bowel and bladder cancer - and following surgery he's now in remission and enjoying life to the full - but always accompanied by Fen wherever he and Toad venture! Terry is a Ducati motor cycle enthusiast and a Ducati Owners' Club member … and Fen has been appointed club mascot … she's a favourite with all Terry's Ducati Club friends! Welcome, dear visitor!
