As the "Home Town" boy, I feel you, along with Pete, have blitzed my town.

Well done both of you.

I now feel I have to take another (fresh) look at where I live!

When I discovered wanderlust but was not ready for the never-ending walkabout, I bought a guide book to my tri-state area (NJ, PA & NY). Ignoring everything but those pages led me to discover new places even though I had passed by them many times. It was simply the mindset. I even stayed in hostels and met people who had come from far away places to see what I had within driving distance. My photography was in the backseat then, but my life was metamorphosizing and ultimately brought me to London. I hope something like that happens at least once more in my life.

So if it helps, try getting a (quirky?) guidebook that takes you off the beaten path and follow it. I'd be curious to know if it does the same trick for you.

some of my alternates from the set shot for submission. My T tried to self destruct in the middle with battery running low and reset itself on everything including rewinding time for 3 years!
As a bonus it killed the SDHC card in the process. That I had a spare for. The fully charged second battery, yep....if only I didnt leave it in my motel room!
The first half dozen frames are somewhere in the universe, never came home with me.
