Guest Metroman Posted June 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) With the MP at the Leica hospital I have been using the CL with the Summicron-C 2/40 and when I got it I didn't feel a great need for the Elmar-C 4/90. Guess what? I have a hankering to get one or something similar for portrait work. So anyone have any recommendations for something to complement the wonderful Cron-C 40 on the CL? Advertisement Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hi Guest Metroman, Take a look here Leca CL alternative lens for 90mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wizard Posted June 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 22, 2007 Andy, well, the Elmar-C is the obvious choice for the CL, and should be readily available at a moderate price, but in case you don't find one, the Minolta sibling (the Rokkor-M 4/90 for the Minolta CLE) is just as good, and probably even cheaper. I use the latter lens on a CLE, a Bessa R2 as well as on my M7 and am highly pleased with its performance. Good luck in finding one or the other, Andy
topoxforddoc Posted June 22, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 22, 2007 Andy, I've sent you a PM as I have a 90/4 CLE Rokkor that I just don't use (as I have a tele-elmarit as well) Charlie

Guest Metroman Posted June 23, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 23, 2007 Now the hard part: "What this lense? leicapages Posted June 27, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 27, 2007 Hi Andy, yes both C lenses complement the CL rather well. In my experience, though, the Elmar-C 90/4.0 is easily surpassed by the Elmarit-M 90/2.8.
