Shenandoah Posted April 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Pulled my D-Lux out of its bag this morning with plans to use it tonight. I haven't used it in three months as I use my Q almost exclusively now.Anyway, I hit the ON/OFF button and nothing. So, I put that battery in my charger and inserted my standby battery -- nada. I thought that possibly both batteries were dead. I charged the first battery or, at least the charger said it was charged, and tried again. Again, nothing. I am waiting now for the standby battery to charge to see what the results will be. Question #1 -- Do cameras know when you have found a new camera love and become temperamental, like people? Question #2 -- Have both batteries gone Tango Uniform due to lack of use? Question #3 -- Could it be a camera problem? And, yes, I did store the camera with the battery in it -- my bad.I think I know the answer to Q-1... TIA...

Shenandoah Posted April 1, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 1, 2017 Well, I am sorry to hear that too. This is the first for me and I don't think it is a camera issue. It's a battery issue. I have found plenty of information online on getting these batteries to take a charge again once they refuse to do so. The link below shows a video that I will try tomorrow... https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=how+to+bring+a+camera+battery+back+to+life&view=detail&mid=A234325716B64C0A27BBA234325716B64C0A27BB&FORM=VIRE

lct Posted April 1, 2017 Share #5 Posted April 1, 2017 Some early LX100 copies, including mine, have had battery issues. See for example: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3943616#forum-post-57556498 https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3929849 https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3878907#forum-post-56201898 https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3755019#forum-post-54770752 As far as my body is concerned, i cleaned the electric contacts, removed the battery, let the camera empty for a couple of days, did a reset and all worked fine since then. If this doesn't work for you you might have to send the camera in though. Great little camera otherwise.
