Advertisement Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Hi kuddel, Take a look here Roofs, Ships and the Sea. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hsw Posted June 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 20, 2007 The deep blue of the sea and the orange roof tiles are hard to resist, but the B&W is a much more evocative, emotional image. Regards, Henry
joachimeh Posted June 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 20, 2007 The colours enhance the contrasts between land and sea, between flat structure of ships and waterlines against the cubicles of the houses. Therefore I like the coloured foto much more. Well done! Thanks for showing.
Guest Motivfindender Posted June 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 20, 2007 I like both .. mabe the second could be more impressing with a smoother typ of contrast. It seems to be a little bit to harsh. Dirk
stuny Posted June 20, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 20, 2007 Andreas - Lovely, both. I'm with Joachim.
elansprint72 Posted June 20, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 20, 2007 B&W. No contest!
samwells Posted June 21, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Andreas - Difficult choice...but I think I'd go for the b&w. In the color version, my eye is drawn immediately to the roofs - being red, they are to me a very dominant item. With the b&w, I 'see' a more complete scene; the textures of the buildings are more evident, and the ships on the sea are immediately more noticeable. cheers: Sam
kuddel Posted June 21, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted June 21, 2007 Thank you all very much for sharing your opinion with me. It helped much to develop my own opinion on the two versions. Thanks. Henry, Joachim, yes I worked much on the contrast saturation, but I was not sure whether over pace it. Pete, no contest you are right Sam, I see it the way you do, the colour picture draws the view to the foreground. Today and after a while of considerations I think I am also with the B&W. Best Regards, Andreas
