bah212 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 5, 2017 no this is not a scam.. my son found a Leica item & knowing the value of it, I'm helping him try to find the owner. I'm a long time Leica owner, M4 since new in 1975, I read this forum from time to time, but do not post because I have little to add to the discussions
Lord Lucan Posted March 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 6, 2017 no this is not a scam.. my son found a Leica item & knowing the value of it, I'm helping him try to find the owner. I'm a long time Leica owner, M4 since new in 1975, I read this forum from time to time, but do not post because I have little to add to the discussions Its very nice of you to look for the real owner. For now why not hand the item to your "lost and found" at Police? Secondly, you can also contact Leica via email just incase the real owner also notified Leica. You should qualify for some reward. tobey bilek Posted March 6, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 6, 2017 My wife turned in a nice diamond ring with large stones to police and a non owner claimed it. When the rightful owner showed, the police went and recovered the ring. That must have been embarrassing .
fotografr Posted March 7, 2017 Share #6 Posted March 7, 2017 Is this a scam? New member and first post is asking people who think they lost something to PM him? Odd…. Why is suspicion your automatic response to someone trying to do a good deed? You may not realize it, but there actually are honest and decent people inhabiting this planet.
