I just got the SL and on the grip, i can feel a little groove/bump at 2 locations. When running the the finger to check for smoothness of the of the skin, everywhere is good except 2 locations in the middle as showed in picture. Seem like there is something underneath.Is your camera has the same issue or it is smooth throughout? could it be a defective?Thanks Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

thighslapper Posted February 14, 2017 Share #9 Posted February 14, 2017 looks to me like the covering material has either been cut slightly too big and cannot be pushed completely flat ..... or the ridged bits have no, or wrinkled adhesive. the covering has a self adhesive back .... if not applied perfectly first time it's a devil to realign it. try warming it up (a hairdryer will do) and see if it will push flat ...... if not I'm sure Leica will replace the camera or re-cover the grip.
