Guest Posted February 11, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted February 11, 2017 How can I make my SL recognise my 90mm APO?? Â Speak to it nicely. Clean the 6-bit coded bits, say a prayer and try again. Mine works flawlessly.

ferdinand Posted February 11, 2017 Share #7 Â Posted February 11, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Leica M-SL adapter doesn't have any dots, the 6 bit code is on the lens side. And if not you have to code the lens form Leica service or to select the lens manually in the SL menue

maqroll Posted February 11, 2017 Share #9 Â Posted February 11, 2017 Yes after turn off/on even though you change lens with a non-coded one
digitalfx Posted February 11, 2017 Share #10 Â Posted February 11, 2017 If the lens isn't coded then it's impossible for it to communicate this limited data to the camera. You have two choices: 1- get the lenses coded, either by Leica or another service provider or you can do it yourself. 2- make a manual selection when you use the lens. jrp Posted February 11, 2017 Share #11  Posted February 11, 2017 It will stay assuming that you are using the same uncoded lens as you did last time if you switch to a coded lens and then switch back.  Easy to forget to change the setting if you swap between different uncoded lenses ...
