TYPO. Above should have read 1/125th at 2.8 not .8

it's a reflection of the roof, where I'm standing I can't be (and indeed am not) reflected on the windscreen of the train!

I'm not referring to the windscreen - there is something to the right of it, which reminded me of a rear view mirror, and whatever it is within that thing reminded me of a reflection.  I know I'm just imagining things, but I had to blink a few times to try to figure it out.

I see a head, and an arm coming up, as if it is holding a black camera.

I know, my imagionation is discombobulated...    Spelling error on purpose.

Was walking to the grocery store, looked up, and saw this scene.  First I wished for a longer lens, as my ancient 35mm Summilux didn't seem appropriate, but after a lot of fiddling, and different viewpoints, and creative editing, I got this:

I think it might be mirror actually, a wing mirror!

I'm not reflected in it though (that's a screenshot and LR was at 152% view!)

Oops, enlarging it so big kills the "magic".  I guess I have a strange imagination.  I'm always looking for reflections in photos, to see what's there.

I know it isn't, but that thing that looks like a mirror on the front of the train, looks like it has a shiny back, and my eyes keep seeing you with your camera in the reflection.   I know, not possible, but that's what I (think I) see.

It’s probably for overtaking.

Many continental European trains, metros, and light rail systems have fold out wing mirrors that allow drivers to see down the side of the train at the dispatch stage

It's amazing how much I can forget about how to use the M10 after messing with DSLR's for a while, and it's pleasantly amazing how quickly those things come back to me.  I took one photo today after finally getting most of the settings right, but when I edited in DxO PhotoLab 5, I found that auto-white-balance didn't work for me - so I changed the setting (and the camera) to 5600K.

I wasn't able to hold the camera steady, so I removed the M10 strap, and put on one of the standard Leica straps like I've used for just about all my cameras - and then tightened it up, so the camera was pressed against my face to steady it.  I think I was a lot steadier many years ago.  I still made errors, but the more errors I make, the more I'll learn how to avoid them in the future.

Like I posted elsewhere, one of my Nikon D750's is sold, and my second one should be gone shortly.  My goal is to use the M10 exclusively.  Either I will get used to it, or it will get used to me!

I'm still wondering if the accessories I bought are good for me.  I bought the thumb-rest that goes into the mount on top of the M10, and after debating for a while, I bought the "grip" that mounts on the bottom of the camera, and supposedly allow me to hold the camera a bit more steadily.  I'm 78, and I need all the help I can get!

I bought one of the leather cases that has a grip which isn’t too bad, I really need the visoflex for portraits so have never tried the thumb rest, my eyesight is shocking.

Of these two I do prefer the B&W.  Stay safe down there Mike.

I was intrigued by this, but kept telling myself it's too boring for a photo.  Myself wouldn't listen to myself, so I took the photo anyway.  I guess I liked the shapes, and the (lack of) color.
