Maybe try a faster shutter speed next time, and increase ISO to be able to achieve this.............. looks like a nice location

Can we agree that ISO & shutter speed arent important so long as compositional balance and gesture are there? That’s where the art is I think. I look at my own photographs and some of the ones in this thread & wonder how much better they could be if the photographer was closer to the subject. Edited by trickness

In general, use of wideangle lenses for macro is not a good idea, as it results in marked linear distortions, unless your object is perpendicular to the optical axis.

Also, photographing watches requires a bit more elaborate lighting for acceptable results.

Just compare your pics with this image below. Sorry, not a Leica shot. C645 wiith P25 back. 120mm APO-Makro-Planar. 5' octabox and four form fitted reflector cards:
