Hi, I've been lurking for a fair bit and decided to share some of my images from a recent trip to Rajasthan, India.

M10 , ZM 2,8/21.

Edit: How can I have the image be shown in full-size? TIA - still new to this forum.  :)

Hi Mememarathon and Welcome to the Forum !!

The information that you want on resizing images and other posting matters can be found at the top of the page here..

https://www.l-camera-forum.com/forum/13-other/

Although it might happen, I'm not sure that putting a request in brackets for someone else to resize the image will have the effect you want.

Regards

Robert

Kirlingerfjöll, Iceland.  The water in the stream is near boiling.  Steam on the right is coming from boiling water.

Some infrared images, taken while hiking in the Italian Alps with an M10 and a 35mm Summilux ASPH FLE fitted with a Hoya R72 filter.

All the lens types that I tried with the R72 filter (21mm Super Elmar, 35mm Summilux ASPH FLE and 90mm f2.8 Elmarit-M) appear to work well in infrared.

It also seems that Leica has really addressed the IR sensor sensitivity issues now, so that the R72 filter (720nm cutoff) is pretty close to using a 10 stop ND filter. Most of these images were therefore shot wide-open and at a raised ISO - because I am too much of a wimp to lug extra tripod weight when on a ten hour hike ;-) The vignetting is a natural result of the wide aperture, IR filtration and contrast pull in post processing.

I actually prefer the images converted to red-scale, but they do not render well on phones or monitors that are not well calibrated or which are very dim. You can see the red-scale versions of these here.

I do not think that the M10 is my first choice of camera for this kind of photography: something with a full spectrum sensor (original M8...) or at some image stabilisation would be better. But it is still capable of some interesting results.
