Lovely image with one of my favorite lenses. Haven't heard from you in a while Thorsten. Hope you and your family are doing well.

The Summilux is one of my favorite 50s also. Struck here by the comparison to 7artisans 75. No comparison really and shows perfectly why it's worth waiting to own the "Lux. Regards.

With M10P and my new Summicron 28. Do you think it's over cooked. Trying out Silver efex pro 2 for the first time.

Dick,

I had this lens a while back and liss it so enjoy. Yes, since you ask, it is a bit cooked but easy enough to have back at it!  The M10 makes files so nice to work with (I'm finding as it is a new camera for me).

All the best,

David

Leica M10-P with Leica 50mm Summilux-M ASPH f/1.4

Thurston,

This one really sings! I was thinking along the lines of Patty's comment about the other one, but wondered whether it was also and even more an exposure issue.....an intentional one, as coming from you I'm not suggesting for a second you weren't in control :

Also, I am excited to take delivery of a 50mm Summilux in Black Chrome that I picked up Friday at Leica Store Soho. I have one of your shades coming as well because it was missing on the used copy they had -one can only imagine it flung itself into the abyss! :)

David

The 50 Summilux-M ASPH f/1.4 is a brilliant lens I find myself using quite a lot. I'll be writing about the 7artisans 75/1.25 that does not compare to the 50/1.4 or the 75/1.25 Noctilux. The 7artisans 50/1.1 is a fun lens, which is why I went to explore the 75mm 7artisans, but the 75/1.25 not so fun.
