First time on here posting AND this is one of my first shots with my new M10+35f/2 combo.

I'll be honest coming from a Nikon D4 I'm unsure if half my shots are focus but I love how I am falling in love with composition again...(once I get use to the frame lines!)

Shivaswrath,

Welcome to the forum. I to came to the Leica M from the world of Nikon and the D4. You’ll soon get the hang of things over here in the rarefied air of the Leica M. Good luck!

The M10 and the 35mm Cron is a perfect combination!

I like the not conventional posture and the tones, there is a sense of mystery here...

thanks mate. a lot of my personal work follows a similar theme with unconventional compositions. I still call them portraits; but there less about the person and more about the overall feel haha.

I say its all about the feel, I was one of those pixel peepers, and found that a technically perfect photo isn't always great. its what the viewer feels so keep it up I love it! it has a feel of the show American horror story.

thanks for being able to recognise that. and thank's for the kind words! there's something to romanticise about faults in a photograph if everything else is executed well. I mean that's practically the same reason I fell in-love with Leica. Not everything is technically better than my DSLR but that's what I love about it, feeling the bumps in the road, slowing down and moving the dials. I feel more part of the process. It's more tangible. The feeling.

Photographs showing the plight of people less privileged, particularly of children, not only convey to those of us more privileged human conditions when poverty prevails, and Jonathan’s photos manage to do this in such a powerful way, but also feel suffocatingly exploitative to look at them.

The parents of the little girl above want her to have a better future than what they can provide for her in the present.

I fail to see any plight of people in the referenced image. May be it is just a matter of the beholder.
