Left the house a 4 AM yesterday on a 100+ mile drive to shoot a mass balloon take off scheduled at 6.  Sadly, despite all the personal sacrifice on my part, they refused to cooperate having blown the whole thing off just to sleep in because the cloud cover was too low. Right. Well tishy, tosh on them. Given the intended subject matter, I had thought it wise to bring along the otherwise rarely included 135mm.  As luck had it, I found someone, who despite being in a similar confined to quarters situation, actually was interested in having a portrait made.

Irish Classic and Vintage Motor Show 2017.  I first tried the WATE with Frankenfinder which gives excellent useful frame-lines. EVF stayed in my bag.

This was taken with the WATE:

I got a bit fed up changing the settings in camera ( M10 just records the WATE as 16mm, other focal length changes have to be made in the menu) and on the 'Frankenfinder'. I put on the 24mm Elmar, but continued to use the 'Frankenfinder'. Here is an example taken with that combination:

I was pleased with the results from both lenses and will continue to use the 'Frankenfinder', where possible, instead of the EVF as the frame-lines are invaluable for framing at a public event. The 24mm Elmar seems to work much better on the M10 than on the M240 where it gave quite a bit of 'Italian Flag', notwithstanding the 6 bit coding

Here are some other images from the event:
