ldhrads Posted March 18, 2014 Share #1906 Posted March 18, 2014 I've just acquired a Nikkor 10.5 f/2.5 for portraits on an M240. This is an early trial shot at ISO800 and wide open. No adjustments in Lightroom except slight cropping for balance. My Purchasing Director appreciates both the low cost of such old lenses and their kindliness to skin tones. I have the Nikkor 10.5/2.5 in screw mount. I use it occasionally and am always pleasantly surprised. It's an under appreciated lens.

pgk Posted March 22, 2014 Share #1914 Posted March 22, 2014 A clean 35mm f/3.5 LTM Summaron A36 from 1953, not mine but on my M9, at about f/11. Crisp enough centrally and out to about 3/4 of the frame width, then softens in the corners (especially the top left for some alignment reason - could be the adapter). Contrast somewhat lower than desirable but easily correctable in PP. All in all a fair performer for a 60 year old lens:). Silly shot just to try the lens out - the text on the sign on wall behind and in front of the car is well resolved and reasonable shadow detail retained on the black car. Welcome, dear visitor!
