Another CZJ Tessar 50/2 prototype. This one appears to be well-documented and is one of only two copies made in 1950. Unlike the 1949 version, the glass shows a light but unmistakable yellow hue, suggesting the use of radioactive elements. Possibly a final attempt by Zeiss at achieving a level of performance that they would have deemed acceptable before throwing the towel. TBH, it seems like they were able to improve centre sharpness and significantly contain spherical aberration, but perhaps by then the design had become too expensive for a "lowly" Tessar. This later prototype is also housed in a Biotar 58/2 barrel (silver in this case) but, rather conveniently, in M42 screw mount. RF focus is perfectly calibrated when attached to a Shoten adapter, with no need for a full conversion.

Both wide open on the M11:

Very little is known about this lens. It is uncoated, with an odd 37mm screw mount. Not particularly sharp and low-contrast (I've added a fair amount in post in the pictures below). Due to its small size, I'd bet it's a simple triplet design. It was intended for the short-lived Vormbruck Feca (not a name I would have picked myself...) reflex camera and manufactured by Rau-Optik, a Wetzlar-based microscope and lens maker, presumably under an Astro-Berlin license. Serial numbers suggest a total production of about 300 units. However, the lens is not too difficult to find in decent condition at reasonable prices, while the camera body seems to be quite rare and is usually priced for collectors.

A bit of an 'apples and oranges' comparison, where only the subject and the light are the same, but I was pleasantly surprised by the results and thought that perhaps someone might be interested.
Both lenses were made in the 1950s for the Wetzlar-based Leidolf company for use on their Lordomat camera.
It would seem that Leidolf designed their standard 50mm lenses but all manufacturing was subcontracted. In this case, the 50mm lens was produced by Enna and the 35mm by Schacht.
