Ecar Posted July 4 Share #15249 Posted July 4 An interesting lens, this one - and another illustration of the 'race for speed' amongst the Japanese lens manufacturers in the post-WWII period. It is most likely a Sonnar design (or a variation thereof) and is housed in a 50/1.5 barrel. It might have been a step too far at the time and never made it to serial production. The 50/1.4 "Japanese Summilux" only came a few years later, but is a classic Double-Gauss formula. This is my first (and forgettable) test shot. I'll post more when I get around to it.
